to make the decisions? so i ran for the city council in my junior year when i was 20 years old and i won. four years later i decided that i would like to be the mayor. iran and i won and laboratories of democracy i truly think cities are the frontline frontline of democracy. cities are where ideas get put into action where you can see if they are going to make a difference or not. one of the ideas that i championed it my second year in 2009 back when i was a young man was a smoking ban. banning smoking in public parks outdoors and after playgrounds and dining spaces in the comments which is a buyer -- which is our outdoor pedestrian park. the time it was very radical. the following year mayor bloomberg at the did the same thing in new york city. so he is welcome but that. i sent him a note and i told him any other ideas you want we can talk. you can do these things on a city level because you can reach -- speak to them and not let don't speak over them because you can only keep their attention for this long. who can grab and hold onto their attention what is more he cannot score politica

in to investigate a fire in vallejo that would be a case of domestic terrorism. it burned the offices of the city's mayor. investigators are trying to figure out who might want to target that mayor and why. >> when vallejo mayor saw the magnitude of the damage to the law office he shares with attorney michael thompson, he couldn't help but shed a few tears. the fire was reported at about 1:30 saturday morning at the small office building just across from the solano county superior court. they believe someone set the fire intentionally. >> suspicious fire at this time. it's under investigation. we hopefully will have more information in the coming days. >> vallejo police said the same building has been targeted by vandals in the past few months who have thrown rocks through windows. and while investigators search for a motive for the fire, they say they're now looking at all of the possibilities including if mayor davis has any political enemies who would want to target him. >> the fact that it involves the mayor of vallejo and the fact that he's a high profile figure in the city could be classifi

traffic also looks pretty good getting up to daily city. let's go to steve. >>> thank you. a happy friday. yesterday some areas north bay, east bay really warmed up. south bay, about as advertised. today looks like the system will prevent us from warming up. tomorrow we'll start the process all over again. 40s. napa, san rafael. livermore, low clouds. they did not have that yesterday. 51 in san francisco. oakland airport 52. there's trying to get a little sea breeze, but it continues to decrease here. although slightly stronger than yesterday. nothing crazy. that system, though, high pressure is coming behind that. it will start to nose in saturday and sunday and monday, definitely warm to hot. inland temps look like the system will come down today and start to turn around and head warmer on saturday and definitely warm to hot inland on sunday and monday. now, the coast, looks like there will be an on shore breeze, but they will warm up. the fog should burn off sooner. it doesn't look like it will scour down. cool for some, warm for others. fog for many. reduced visibility, hazy sunshine.
